Mr Shaikh is now a retired private consultant. ==Early life== Salman Ali Shaikh was born on September 23, 1951, the only child of Wazir Ali Shaikh, a senior civil servant (who served as the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority and Federal Secretary for industry, fuel, power and natural resources), and Iffat Ara, daughter of Mian Muhammad Sharif of the Mian family, Bhagbanpura. After obtaining a B.A. at the Government College Lahore, he acquired a B.Sc.
